Background.
Formerly known as the CaliforniaMart, the CMC was built in 1963
as LA's first wholesale apparel mart. In 2002, the iconic building was
reborn as the California Market Center (CMC) and is now home to hundreds of showrooms for fashion, textiles, gifts and home decor, in addition to a range of offices, studio spaces, schools, restaurants, cafes, shops, and event venues.
The CMC is an essential LA marketplace and event venue visited by thousands of buyers, press, stylemakers, and influencers from around the globe. Open year-round, the CMC is the host to a Calendar filled with major Markets, tradeshows, and special events for the fashion & textiles industry, in addition to seminars, special events and sample sales.
