California Market Center (CMC) is the hub of LA's fashion & creative communities. Located in the heart of Downtown's LA Fashion District on 9th & Main, the 1.8-million square foot complex is home to fashion industry showrooms, creative office spaces, and the city's busiest special event venues, in addition to businesses catering to the downtown community, including eateries, fitness studios, beauty salons, and more.

The CMC was established in the early 1960s by the Morse family as the first wholesale fashion showroom "mart" on the West Coast. Today, the CMC continues to serve as the industry's primary center for fashion business in Los Angeles, housing hundreds of showrooms that represent the LA Fashion District's largest selection of brands for Women, Men and Children. Showrooms are open year-round to the trade. (Open to the public the last Friday of each month for Sample Sales).

From 3,000 to 130,000 square feet, the CMC has a variety of venues available to host any type of event. Regular events include Unique LA, LA Weekly The Essentials, Indie Beauty Expo, Artisanal LA, BizBash, Small Business Expo, and The Makeup Show, as well as a host of weddings, receptions, fashion shows, filming, etc..
