AND EXPANDED RESOURCES FROM AROUND THE GLOBE Los Angeles (March 20, 2012) – The Los Angeles International Textile Show (LA TEXTILE) will debut a new Spring/Summer 2013 season filled with noteworthy, new exhibitors and expanded resources, Monday-Wednesday, March 26-28, 2012. Produced and hosted by the California Market Center (CMC) since 1993, the LA TEXTILE Show will be featured in its Penthouse, located on the 13th floor, and the Fashion Theater, located in the Main Lobby. Highlights at this edition of the show include expanded presences from Europe, South America, and India, as well as in manufacturing and sourcing. Additional highlights include the return of the Lenzing Innovation Pavilion and the Korean Pavilion presented by KTTA. The show also presents its complimentary, daily seminar program featuring world-renowned trend forecasters and industry experts, an Opening Night Reception co-hosted by Lenzing and LA TEXTILE, and an interactive Trend Gallery co-curated by trend partner WGSN and LA TEXTILE. Showcasing Europe's leading mills for the show's Contemporary and Designer audience, the European Collections Pavilion will be presented in the entrance of the A-wing in the Penthouse. This edition of the show debuts premier French company Malhia Kent, known for its luxurious haute couture and prêt-a-porter fabric collections and founded in 1987 by Michele Sorano after years of collaborating with Coco Chanel. Other notable European Collections exhibitors include KBC, Deveaux, John Marshall International Group, AB Creations, Bel Maille, Darquer, HOH, the Noyon Group, Le Loup Blanc, Tiss e Teint, Bella Tella, Vema, Friday Fabrics, Lanifico Nencini, Revel Denim, Liberty of London, Tessile Group, Star Stampa Tessuti, Euromaglia, Allegri, and Solstiss, to name a few. Another noteworthy highlight of the show is the growing list of resources from India. Known for their exquisite range of intricately embroidered and embellished silk fabrics, trims and appliques, as well as the highly sought-after cotton ikat and other traditional Indian prints, Indian companies have been a popular attraction at previous editions of LA TEXTILE. This show features new exhibitors Jaipuria Silk Mills, Universal Textiles, Manuela, Pinx, and Sofiatex, in addition to regular exhibitors like K&I/Kosha Collections, Silk Fashion, and others. This season also debuts a number of new South American exhibitors, most notably Brazil-based Rosset, who is South America's largest textile group and will be exhibiting at LA TEXTILE for the first time. Also creating buzz among exhibitors is the addition of Vestex to the exhibitor roster. Vestex represents the vast network of textile and fashion manufacturing resources in Guatemela and will also be collaborating with California Fashion Association (CFA) to present a panel on Tuesday, March 26, entitled " Why Guatemala? The Duty Free Sourcing Hub". The presentation begins at 3:30pm in the show's Seminar & Event space, Suite 19 in the Penthouse. An expanded presence of manufacturing and sourcing companies will also have a spotlight at this edition of the show. Featured in the Design & Services area of the Penthouse show floor, new resources include Japanese company GPI, Fessler USA, and Andari, as well as the aforementioned Vestex, among others. LA TEXTILE will also continue its partnership with Lenzing and feature the Lenzing Innovation Pavilion in showrooms located in the A-wing of the Penthouse.
